Recently, one of my idols, Seth Godin, was interviewed by famed music publicist Ariel Hyatt of Ariel Publicity about the future of the music industry, and, more specifically, the new mindset musicians must have in order to have a chance as they move forward.
I could talk about Seth Godin all day, but I’ll try to hold back. Basically, he is a marketing and general mental giant, and, while he often writes about marketing, value creation, and the future, his concepts can almost always directly relate to music.
I’d recommend his book “The Dip” to any motivated person with a long-term vision they are trying to turn into a reality. If you read this book and want more suggestions, let me know.
